Soddy enjoys a healthy romantic life, though if Geddy Lee were to walk into the shop and point directly at her, the only thing the guys will see is a cloud of dust as she steams to the Great White North. Why is she called called Soddy? "Soddy" is a nickname given to LK on a message board she frquents. Short for her ID, Sodoff, after Sodoff Baldrick from Blackadder. Sodoff is also slang for a very naughty word.
If Lainey bears any resemblence to a certain Elaine, we assure you it is completely coincidental.
Besides, we like her. One day she will bail us all out of prison.

Witty
and crafty, Soddy does not typify the negative blonde sterotypes passed
from joke to joke. An aspiring author, Soddy works at Ged's for the
opportunity to write in her spare time. She likes having a job that
doesn't follow her home, yet she finds some situations do anyway.
Caustic
and sly, Lainey indulges her darker desires through customer manipulation
and occasionally watering down the espresso. Like Soddy, she has a creative
streak, and uses her spare time to build her art portfolio. She dreams
one day of hanging in the Whitney, and seeing her boss hang from the
highest tree.
Skittish
and shy, Maxie doesn't possess the confidence of Lainey and the rapid-fire
wit of Soddy. Yet, she remains an integral part of the Ged's Gals team,
and not necessarily because the other two pile more of the work on her.
To be certain, she is looked after the way one looks after a kid sister,
but that doesn't make Maxie immune to the possible embarassment via
YouTube she may endure if she ever ticks anybody off.
